Description
Cylindrical body with flaring, rounded rim and groove on interior. Substantial application of mortar around end for attachment to adjacent pipe. Faint transverse grooving made by finger(?) across exterior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine, hard, consistently fired fabric, pale yellowish red, with few, very small, subrounded to subangular, red, black and gray inclusions.
Preservation comment
One small fragments preserves small part of wall and one finished edge. Does not join with other sherds of same type. Slight, sparse pitting and scoring; thin, extensive film of encrustation.
