Description
Wide body (ovoid?) tapering up to rim. Wide body (ovoid?) tapers toward rim. Short, thick, everted rim turns outward and upward diagonally upward. Slightly rounded lip has shallow groove; interior face is mostly straight, delimited below by sharp turn outward and downward that served as lid-seating.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Coarse fabric is brown with frequent small light angular inclusions, rare medium light angular and subangular inclusions; granular break. All surfaces are grey with light brush marks.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds, one large (2383) and one small (1536), preserve ca. 22% of rim and small part of upper body. Slight, extensive abrasion and slight chipping around edges; slightly worn breaks; thin, moderate patches of encrustation.
