Description
Juglet or small jar. Flat (or slightly concave?) bottom. Flaring lower wall. Slipped exterior and base.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pink fabric; pale red slip with a tinge of orange. Fine, slightly soft; smooth to slightly granular break. Uncommon, well sorted, small, subrounded, lime chunks; very rare, small varied bits, many dark; faintly micaceous. Thin, slightly uneven and mottled, semimatte slip, thickened between the ridges and generally thinning toward bottom. Thick, dense wheel ridging on interior. Corinthian.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 15-20% of base and lower wall. Slight, sparse abrasion with rare, minor pitting and chipping; worn breaks; scattered specks and spicules of encrustation.
