Small bowl or cup. Low ring foot, squared on resting surface, thickened and banded on exterior face and sloping on interior face. Wide flaring lower wall; thick floor. Slipped on interior, exterior and base mostly plain but drips on lower wall.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Somewhat soft, slightly granular, reddish yellow fabric has uncommon, small, well sorted, subangular to subrounded, white (calcareous) inclusions; rare, small, poorly sorted, subangular, gray, red, and pale or translucent inclusions; abundant black bits; highly micaceous in small sparkles; and frequent, small, mostly rounded but some elongated voids. Thick, somewhat uneven, matte slip, pale reddish orange. Material typical for ware but slip more pale.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves entire base and 15-20% of lower wall. Slight, sparse abrasion and large gouges and chips around edges; worn breaks; scattered specks of encrustation over most surface but thick layer over bottom. Faint cloud of secondary scorching.
