Description
Wide, shallow bowl. Convex body; incurving rim with plain lip. Very light groove on interior under rim, not clearly intentional. Slipped on interior and exterior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical late ESC: Pergamene region. Pale brownish orange fabric with a tinge of red; slightly granular break; occasional, medium, rounded, lime inclusions; few tiny sparkly bits; one elongated void. Thick, darker red slip, smooth, faintly mottled, with turning bands on interior and exterior.
Preservation comment
One small sherd preserves 5-8% of rim and small part of upper body. Slight, extensive abrasion; slightly worn breaks; thin, extensive film of encrustation.
