Description
Round discus with wide central filling hole and single deep groove near rim; discus slopes gently inward between groove and hole. Wall is convex to rounded downward. Wheelmade.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pale early Corinthian fabric: 7.5YR 8/3 (pink). Slip: near 5YR 3/1 (very dark gray). Fine fabric, consistently fired, with rare, very small, rounded to subrounded, white inclusions. Semiglossy, thin but even, flakey glaze throughout exterior and interior.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves roughly one third of discus and shoulder. Slight, somewhat extensive abrasion and scoring.
