Collander with rounded walls. Orientation of vessel indicated by thickening of wall towards base. Two rows of holes, not strictly placed or entirely parallel: an upper row with three complete holes and one partial at right, a lower row with three complete holes and one partial at left. All holes formed by round tool pushed through from exterior (excess clay on interior). Clay is entirely unfinished: form was more a globular pot than a very open bowl?
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Hard, slightly granular fabric consistently fired to very pale pink; occasional small round calcareous chunks; frequent tiny light and dark bits. Surface slipped, more pale than fabric.
Preservation comment
One body sherd. Chunks of plaster adhering to exterior and thin patches on interior; clean breaks; surfaces otherwise well preserved.
