Description
Tear-shaped outline. Tear-shaped, concave, plain discus with hole lower right and raised rim. Slightly sloping shoulder has flat herringbone that terminates in double wavy lines at nozzle. Long, rounded nozzle has wide, straight channel from discus to wickhole with airhole at top; traces of burning. Slight webbing between shoulder and handle. Thick handle has two grooves below; lower handle has flanking grooves. Flat base has single circle at top and double almond-shaped grooves around faint incuse signature: ΧΙΟ|ΝΗϹ. Details are somewhat blurry from worn mold.
Preservation description
Seven large joining fragments preserve most of base and small part of discus, shoulder, and nozzle but rest of top is broken away at suture. Slight pitting, flaking; sparse encrustation.
