Description
Tear- or almond-shaped body. Sloping shoulder has wavy lines in relief. Thick, pierced handle has two grooves; lower handle has flanking grooves. Flat base has double almond-shaped grooves around incuse signature reading handle to nozzle: Κ[Υ] (distinct rectangular serifs).
Fabric, firing, surface
Typical firing, fabric, and surface treatment for ware. 2.5YR 6/6, light red. Hard, somewhat small, slightly gritty fabric, flaky. Unglazed.
Preservation description
Three joining fragments preserve entire handle, very small part of shoulder, and ca. 50% of base. Slight, somewhat extensive abrasion with pitting, gouging, and chipping especially across underside; worn breaks; thin, widespread encrustation on base.
