Description
Tear-shaped(?) outline. Circular(?), concave discus has rosette with numerous narrow concave, pointed(?) petals and two raised circles at base of handle. Sloping, rounded shoulder has herringbone in low relief. Off-center, pierced handle has two grooves above and one below; lower handle has flanking grooves. Flat base has one double circle at base of handle and two grooves around base.
Fabric, firing, surface
Typical fabric, firing, and surface treatment for ware. 5YR 7/4, pink. Hard, medium fine fabric; smooth break and texture. Unglazed?
Preservation description
One fragment preserves <25% of shoulder, small part of discus, entire handle, and small part of base. Slight, sparse abrasion; slightly worn breaks; slight, thin encrustation.
