Description
Discus with figural relief depicts head with thick, bushy coiffure rendered with branch pattern to suggest braiding; top front of hair where knot or projection would be is broken away. Thick, rounded horizontal line delineates bottom of bust. Goddess with double ax type. Overall treatment is highly schematic (e.g., almond-shaped eye) and whole figure has vertical inclination.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 5YR 6/6, reddish yellow. Slip: 2.5YR 6/8, light red. Material typical for ware. Cracked surface. Slight, dull slip as wash scarcely preserved in grooves. Sparse, large clay nodules.
