Description
Tear-shaped outline. Steep walls. Flat base has double almond-shaped grooves with an incuse design of inverted palm branch of wispy stem and leaves, surrounded by three double circles below and lower left, and flanked at middle by Ϲ|[Ⲱ] (quadrate lunate sigma).
Fabric, firing, surface
Typical fabric, firing, and surface treatment for ware. 7.5YR 7/6, reddish yellow. Hard, fine fabric; smooth break and texture. Unglazed.
Preservation description
Three joining fragments preserve ca. 50% of base and 33% of wall. Slight, sparse pitting and abrasion with minor scoring; worn breaks; faint, discontinuous film of encrustation.
