Description
Flat discus has relief of large oval face forward, with round eyes and pupils and broad, flat nose, surrounded by shaggy hair and moustache, wearing conical cap (pilos). Hephaistos or Odysseus type.
Fabric, firing, surface
Typical fabric, firing, and surface treatment for ware. Fabric: 2.5YR 6/6 light red. Slip: 10R 5/6, red. Somewhat hard, slightly gritty fabric. Thick, lustrous slip preserved in slight traces.
Preservation description
One fragment preserves central discus. Moderate, extensive abrasion; worn breaks; thick, extensive encrustation.
