Rim has impressed ledge from upper mold and slight joining ridge into webbing around handle. Details are blurry and somewhat uneven from worn mold and imprecise casting.

Typological identification
Middle-Late Roman Athenian lamp, early glazed
Description
Circular outline. Circular, concave discus has central hole, rays, and framing ring. Wide, slightly sloping shoulder has vine with six leaves and four clusters in relief. Rounded nozzle framed by double angled grooves has airhole at top; traces of burning. Short, narrow, solid handle has three grooves above.
Fabric, firing, surface
Typical fabric, firing, and surface treatment. Fabric: 5YR 6/6, reddish yellow. Slip: 5YR 6/8, reddish yellow, to 5YR 5/6, yellowish red. Thin, uneven, dull, pale slip preserved in patches.
Preservation description
Three fragments, two joining, preserve roughly one-half of discus and shoulder, base of nozzle, and entire handle. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion with chipping; worn breaks; extensive patches of encrustation.
