Description
Jar. Ovoid or globular body; corrugation. Splayed strap handles attach on upper body just above point of maximum diameter. Wide, painted horizontal band just below handles; on upper body, spiral(s) of grayish brown painted in broad strokes.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 10YR 6/3, pale brown with a tinge of green. Paint: 2.5Y 3/2, very dark grayish brown. Soft, fine fabric with rare, very small mica, very few to rare, very small, rounded, white inclusions and few, medium, subrounded to angular, red and gray inclusions; numerous small voids. Thin, uneven, matte paint, slightly flaky.
Preservation description
One sherd preserves ca. 50% of upper body and shoulder. Slight to moderate, extensive encrustation.

Looters left this large sherd against an overturned skull in southwest area of cist, perhaps after using it as a digging implement.
