Description
Globular body. Short neck tapering to outwardly thickened, rounded rim. Lentoid strap handle with sliced edge and splayed lower attachment.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 5YR 6/6, reddish yellow, but uneven firing. Slip: 5YR 5/6, yellowish red. Hard, smooth, fine fabric with few to rare golden mica and few, small, spherical, white inclusions. Thin, uneven wash and variable firing. Flaring false ring foot with bevel on outer face; tooled bottom. Trimming marks.
Preservation description
Almost intact, but missing large part of upper body and shoulder and >50% of rim. Slight chipping; slightly worn breaks; moderate, extensive encrustation.
