Description
Cup. Vertical rim with blocky lip. Slightly concave outer face delineated below by small, rounded molding; narrow band of fine rouletting on exterior just below lip delineated below by sharp, deep groove. Inner face has two sharp, deep grooves. Reminiscent of relief-decorated chalices with elaborately molded, vertical rims (e.g., Conspectus Form R 6).
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 10R 6/6, light red. Slip: 10R 4/6, red. Material typical for ware.
Preservation description
Preserves <25% of rim. Slight abrasion and minor chipping; mostly clean breaks and surfaces.
