Description
Flat base. Narrow groove at articulation of floor with body. Striations on floor. Scorching on base from use.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric (interior and core): 2.5YR 6/4, light reddish brown; (exterior surface): Gley 1 3/N, very dark gray. Hard, gritty fabric with common to frequent mica and common, small, rounded, white inclusions; common voids; minor spalling. Imported.
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves <25% of base. Extensive pitting, slight chipping and gouging.
