Description
Laconian-style pantile or curved Corinthian imbrex. Low, wide arch.
Fabric, firing, surface
Grayish red fabric, consistently fired(?) but discolored from weathering. Very coarse, hard, with hackly break and rough texture. Frequently, well sort, small to medium, angular red (terracotta?) and gray inclusions. Imported. Cf. KCMS Ar0006 and -0008.
Preservation description
One large fragment preserves curvature but no features. Moderate, extensive abrasion and minor erosion with scoring and pitting; worn breaks; extensive weathering, with widespread marine encrustation, from prolonged marine submersion.
