Description
Long, narrow nozzle that slopes upward. Rounded lower wall. Low, wide ring base.
Fabric, firing, surface
Pale brown fabric. Somewhat fine, hard, with mostly smooth break; uncommon to common, tiny to small, well sorted, spherical white (calcareous) particles; rare dark bits (dark gray?); common silvery micaceous sparkles. Dark reddish brown slip, matte, unevenly applied across walls and splotchy, fired to black where thickest. Dense striations from smoothing (with cloth?).
Preservation description
Two joining sherds preserve large part of lower nozzle, wall, and base. Slight to moderate erosion and abrasion; scattered patches of encrustation.
