Hemispherical bowl with molded relief on curving wall and more vertical rim. Wall: hunting scene with caped rider advancing left to facing animal (board? lion?) carrying attacking hound, with foliage(?) above and behind. Rim: band of simple guilloche framed below by groove.
Fabric, firing, surface
Orange with a tinge of red, consistently fired; somewhat hard, fine, with mostly smooth break; rare, well sorted(?), varied tiny bits both light (lime?) and dark (red and dark gray or black?). Brownish black slip, thick, selilustrous and even, over inside and outside, detaching in small, sparse flakes. Athenian.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves small part of body. Slight, sparse abrasion; worn breaks; thin, consistent film of encrustation.
