Fabric, firing, surface
Pale reddish orange fabric, consistently fired; hard and relatively fine, with smooth break; small, mostly rounded, mixed particles (including quartzitic and calcareous). Orangish red, thin end even, smooth slip, semimatte but worn. Central Tunisian cf. ARS C ware.
Preservation description
One large sherd preserves ca. 30% from upper middle to left back part of lamp, including small part of discus, entire left shoulder up to channel, and upper handle. Slight, extensive abrasion and slight scratching; worn breaks; thin, extensive film of encrustation in relief.
