Southeast Aegean family of baggy-shaped amphoras with spike toes cf. Samos Cistern Amphora
Fabric, firing, surface
SCA Fabric B: pale yellowish brown or buff; hard, rather fine with smooth break; slightly soapy surface texture; rare, tiny white (lime?) and dark gray; common tiny flecks of silver mica. Carefully smoothed surface.
Preservation description
One large fragment preserves toe at attachment to lower body. Slight, sparse abrasion and chipping around edge; somewhat worn breaks; sparse patches of encrustation.
