Light gray core dired to pale brown with a tinge of yellow at surfaces (1-3mm); hard, slightly coarse; splintery to hackly break, with rough surface textrue; common, tiny white inclusions (lime?); scattered irregular voids, some large and elongated; dense dusting of silvery mica. Heavy wheel ridging on inside and outside. Not regional.
