Buff, fired slightly more pale at surface where thinly washed; hard, somewhat coarse; smooth to vaguely conchoidal break; uncommon to common, well sorted, small, subrounded, white (some calcareous) particles; rare medium, angular, lime chunks opening at surface; uncommon, tiny to small, red and gray bits. Lightly brushed surface inside and out. Regional; cf. buff utilitarian fabric.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 20% of base and lowermost part of wall. Very slight, sparse abrasion and large chips; slightly worn breaks; sparse, thin patches of encrustation.
