Description
Ring base has concave bottom with central button and vertical outer face. Slight constriction; lower lower flares above.
Fabric, firing, surface
7.5YR 6/6 (light red). Hard, fine fabric consistently fired orangish red has with very few inclusions but rare, small lime and angular black bits; slightly micaceous. Surface essentially plain and same color as fabric, though with fine brush marks. Ionian coast: Ephesus-Miletus. Sim. 2191 but less micaceous.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves entire toe up to lowermost bottom. Very slight, sparse scoring; slightly worn breaks; frequent, small patches of encrustation.
