POTTERY. Byzantine (2 frr., 0.010 kg): 2 body: Green and Brown Painted ware, exterior has white slip, interior has white slip, painted green and brown in uncertain (spiral?) design, and clear glaze (second half 12th-early 13th century).

Explanation of deposition
Byzantine-Modern colluvium and topsoil over area of Octagon, combined with mixed fill in WWII ditch cutting down into Octagon.
