Description
Gradual natural accumulation of sediment that contains much residual earlier material and very sparse material representing activity in area during Modern era.
Explanation of deposition
Uppermost level of widespread colluvium across slope, including modern ground.
Soil matrix
Heterogeneous but predominantly brown (10YR 4/1, 5/3, 6/3, 6/4), somewhat loose to somewhat compact, fine silt to sand with gravel to cobbles (1-15 cm range), clumpy and moist in places and sunbaked in others. Circular patch of fine ash at surface near southwest corner of Building A1 probably from a recent campfire.
