Description
Late Hellenistic-Early Roman wine amphora produced in Beirut and traded chiefly within Levant. Conical body tapers to point, with tall concave neck, small folded or projecting triangular rim, and narrow, ridged loop handles. Reddish or orangish brown fabric, sandy texture with granular break, small lime and quartz inclusions.
