Description
Bowl, nearly carinated, with small, low, ring foot, sloping floor, and plain, rounded rim. Three subtypes (A-C) vary from relatively deeper with more flaring walls to relatively shallower with more vertical inward sloping walls. Uncommon Middle Roman ARS form.
Chronology comment
Bonifay (pp. 157, 159) downdated the Hayes chronology thus: 14A=end 2nd/beginning 3rd century; 14B=3rd century (first half?); 14C=3rd century.
