Bonifay (Bonifay2004, pp. 167, 172, fig. 92) identified a later variant that he coined “Hayes 59C“=Sigillée type 36, with deeper and narrow propertions and a stepped molding on the rim, dated first half 5th century.
Large, shallow dish with flat bottom and wide, horizontal rim with stepped upper face. Typically has stamped decoration with grooves on floor. Two subtypes: one with vertical gouging on lower exterior wall, slightly earlier (A); and one with plain wall (B). Very common ARS form of the early 4th to early 5th century.
