Description
Broad, shallow dish with high, vertical to splayed foot, stepped floor, wide flaring wall, and heavy knobbed rim. Two subtypes: one with lower interior ledge showing grooves and rouletting, in a finer fabric (A; cf. Hayes 89); and one with higher interior ledge, undecorated, in a coarser fabric (B). Sometimes molding, grooving, and rouletting on outer face of foot. Uncommon ARS form from mid-5th to early 7th century.
