Description
Early-Middle Roman amphora, perhaps produced in Aegean basin, with thin but wide distribution across Mediterranean. Conical to carrot-shaped body with low rounded shoulder, tall cylnidrical neck with plain, rounded or collar neck and tall, vertical loop handles, and solid spike at base. Dull brown, hard, gritty fabric with calcareous and volcanic(?) inclusions.
