Description
Circular, concave, plain discus has two framing rings, outer wider than inner. Rounded shoulder has three uneven rows of large globules. Volute nozzle. Narrow, pierced handle with two grooves above.
Fabric, firing, surface
Typical Early Roman Athenian lamp fabric. Fabric: 2.5YR 6/4, light reddish brown. Slip: 2.5YR 4/4, reddish brown.
Preservation description
Two nonjoining fragments preserve <50% of discus, shoulder, and upper handle. Thick patches of plaster on shoulder and handle.
