Description
Flat base has double almond-shaped grooves around incuse signature reading nozzle to handle, with first two syllables in line 2 and third syllable in line 1: Ν[ΗϹ]|Χ̣[ΙΟ].
Fabric, firing, surface
Typical fabric, firing, and surface treatment for ware. 2.5YR 6/6, light red. Hard, fine fabric; smooth break and texture; common, spherical to subrounded voids. Unglazed.
Preservation description
One fragment preserves ca. 33% of base. Slight, somewhat abrasion and pitting; worn breaks; rare traces of encrustation.
