Description
Slightly elongated outline. Circular discus, flat to slightly concave with double raised rim around relief of rosette with eight outlined leaves. Steeply sloping shoulder with row of double semicircles with raised outlines and dots inside and between tips. Distinct narrow seam between upper and lower halves.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 10R 6/4, pale red. Soft, medium fine, micaceous fabric with rare to uncommon, very small, rounded, white (calcareous) and angular, red inclusions. Unglazed. Ephesian?
Preservation comment
Four joining fragments preserve ca. 33% of discus and shoulder. Slight abrasion; traces of encrustation.
