Circular discus has molded relief with line of drapery pushed up in middle at very top of discus and rounded framing ring. Probably erotic symplegma type with woman reclining left and man kneeling right on kline under canopy. Plain shoulder with panels. Low, narrow, solid handle with three grooves.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 5YR 7/8, reddish yellow. Slip: 10R 5/6, red. Middle Athenian lamp fabric, nascent glazing. Thin, semi-matte, uneven slip preserved in grooves and on handle.
Preservation comment
One small fragment preserves upper handle and small part of discus and shoulder. Moderate, extensive abrasion and pitting; slight, sparse patches of encrustation. Slight seem visible near upper back of handle.
