Description
Wide, triangular nozzle from volute lamp.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 7.5YR 7/6, reddish yellow. Slip: 10R 5/8, red. Very smooth, dense, somewhat hard clay with very rare, very small, subrounded white and gray inclusions and tiny round voids. Semilustrous, somewhat thick, mostly even slip on exterior and thinly brushed on interior.
Preservation comment
One small fragment preserves one-half of nozzle. Moderate to severe, extensive abrasion, scoring, and gouging; scattered specks of encrustation.
