Typological identification
Early/Middle Roman Asia Minor Lamp, red-on-white
Description
Sloping shoulder has circles flanking base of handle. Narrow, pierced handle has two grooves.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 2.5YR 6/4, light reddish brown. Slip: 10R 5/8, red. White underslip. Semiglossy, thick, somewhat uneven, slightly flakey slip on exterior.
Preservation comment
One small fragment preserves upper handle and small part of shoulder. Moderate, somewhat extensive abrasion and pitting.
