Description
Circular outline. Circular, shallow concave discus with design relief and raised, rounded framing ring. Design: simple cross potent [with double circles at arms and in middle.] Rounded, sloping shoulder has spaced globules. Narrow, low, solid handle has three grooves.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 5YR 7/4, pink. Slip: 2.5YR 4/3, reddish brown. Fine, somewhat soft fabric with infrequent, somewhat small, subrounded, gray inclusions. Thin, semilustrous, even slip detaching in patches and small flakes, extends inside along upper wall.
Preservation comment
One small sherd preserves less than one quarter of discus, one third of shoulder, and upper handle. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion and flaking; traces of encrustation.
