Description
Cup. Flat base with visible cutting lines. Globular body. Everted rim with thin, rounded lip and flat, raised band on exterior at articulation of body and rim. Vertical, round handle attaches at mid-body and rim.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 5YR 5/4, reddish brown; (exterior body and rim): 7.5YR 4/0, dark gray. Fine fabric, consistently fired, with infrequent, tiny light bits and rare, larger, light, rounded, calcitic inclusions. Oxidized band at base from stacking (H. 0.014 m).
Preservation comment
Intact but missing handle. Slight, extensive scoring; slight, sparse specks of encrustation and white discoloration.
