Description
Button toe; conical lower body; rounded shoulders; high, slightly flaring neck; slightly thickened, slightly inturned, sharp lip. Oval ridged handles attach at shoulder and upper neck. Intentional broad ridging on exterior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 2.5YR 5/8, red. Coarse fabric with frequent, very small, angular, light (quartzitic) and dark inclusions and very rare, larger, light inclusions (some calcitic). Thin, matte wash on interior and exterior surfaces, same color as fabric.
Preservation comment
64 total fragments, 50 joining, preserves almost entire vessel. Slight, sparse abrasion; slight, extensive film of encrustation.
