Wide plate. Flat floor; very low ring base with pointed resting surface but rounded on both face. Perhaps low curving walls.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Very fine fabric fired to consistent pale brownish-red. Uncommon small, dark, angular bits, many visible flattened on underside; rare tiny dark bits visible in break; micaceous. Slip is slightly darker and redder than fabric where best preserved, though distinctly lighter and more brown than typical LRC ware. In its original state slip was very well smoothed. Underside is essentially plain with brush marks. Central or southern Greek?
Preservation comment
One sherd preserving ca. 5% of base and small part of lower wall. Slip is worn on interior but preserves original well-smoothed surface in patches. Slight chipping around edges; somewhat worn breaks; wide areas of thin, patchy brownish white encrustation.
