Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical fabric (dark pink-pale red; somewhat gritty; rare, subangular, calcarous chunks; micaceous); firing (even); and surface treatment (thin white undercoat; even, thin, semilustrous, orangish red slip).
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 35% of top of lamp, including discus, left side to back shoulder, most of handle, and adjacent wall. Extensive, slight to moderate abrasion and rare minor chipping; worn breaks; thick chunks of encrustation in grooves.
