Fabric, firing, and surface description
Yellowish white fired slightly darker at surface. Somewhat hard, slightly gritty fabric; smooth to vaguel hackly break. Common tiny bits, poorly sorted, including subrounded lime and rarer gray and black; isolated, large, subrounded lime chunk(s) spalling. Even, thin, pale white wash as undercoat?; even, glossy glaze, thicker in grooves and irregularly accumulated on bottom; dip-slipped around lip with dripping inside, in dark green but mottled; rest of vessel bright white. Faint turning grooves on interior and exterior; excess clay around base. Uneven bottom creates asymmetrical forward lean. Cf. Ke0354-P0072.
Preservation comment
Intact. Slight, sparse abrasion around edges, with one large chip in lip and rare gouging; mostly clean breaks; thin film of white clouding around lip: incipient encrustation?
