Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical Late Roman Corinthian lamp fabric (orangish red, moderately fine), firing (hard), and surface treatment (smoothed shoulder). Thin, sharp joining ridge and wide webbing; fingerprints from pressing interior into mold..
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 30% from top back part of lamp, including less than one-quarter of discus, roughly one-third of shoulder, and intact handle. Slight, moderate abrasion and chipping; mostly clean breaks; very rare specks of encrustation.
