Material enters range of Late Roman regional fabrics but unusually finely prepared, careful treatment of molding, and slip all indicate Attic production instead.

Description
Discus: Abraham sacrificing Isaac.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical fabric (relatively fine with infrequent, tiny to small subrounded and subangular white calcitic, gray, and black inclusions; slightly irregular fracture; pale red but more pinkish and pale at surface), firing, and surface treatment (semimatte, variably thick slip, orangish red, spread over top but flaking). Very cleanly smoothed lateral seam.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 50% from top back middle to left part of lamp, including most of discus and most of left shoulder. Moderate, extensive abrasion and slight scratching; somewhat worn breaks; rare specks of encrustation and thin film of white discoloration in relief (calcareous?).
