Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pale red with a tinge of orange. Hard, slightly gritty fabric; smooth to faintly hackly break; very rare to rare, isolated, tiny lime specks and black bits; one small, irregular lime chunk spalling. Surface has thin, even wash fired slightly more brown than fabric. Entire surface shows tiny clay nodules(?). Turning lines on interior. Wheelmade.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 60% of lamp but missing left shoulder and most of nozzle. Very sight abrasion and scratching and minor chipping around edge; slightly worn breaks; rare specks of encrustation.
