Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical Late Roman Athenian lamp fabric (brownish red; somewhat gritty; very hard; crazing at surface), firing (consistent), and surface treatment (brownish orange slip; somewhat thin, even, semimatte).
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 30% of top back middle part of lamp, including roughly one-half of discus, small part of shoulder, and front of handle. Slight, sparse abrasion; mostly clean breaks.
