Description
Dish. Near vertical concave rim; curving interior floor; low ring foot. Shallow stamp at center of floor: seven-lobe rosette (one lobe is very faint). Two closely spaced concentric grooves as flatter part of floor turns to rounded walls.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine, easily broken fabric with frequent glistening micaceous bits visible in direct sunlight. Thick orange slip on interior; slightly thinner with more obvious turning brush marks on exterior.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves majority of floor of vessel and ca. 80% of base, and very small part of turn to rim is extant. Very slight, rare scratching and chipping around edges; mostly clean breaks; thin but extensive film of encrustation on underside.
